Great interest in the “e-flight-Expo”

High-ranking political visitors have attended the AERO in Friedrichshafen: EU Commissioner for Transport Violeta Bulc and Baden-Württemberg Minister of Transport Winfried Hermann toured the global aviation show on Saturday. Accompanied by Messe Friedrichshafen CEO Klaus Wellmann and AERO project leader Roland Bosch, the Commissioner and the Transport Minister visited several exhibitors at the show. The policymakers showed especially strong interest in the e-flight-expo. “I am surprised how much progress general aviation manufacturers have already made in electric propulsion. Flight-capable aircraft already exist,” Hermann stressed during his tour of the exhibition. Aviation companies “have really picked up a lot of speed” in alternative propulsion, Hermann said, pleased about the developments in the industry and about the prospect that the topic of flying could move in a climate-friendly direction in the future.
