AERO 2018 with large helicopter hangar
The helicopter sector is increasing in importance at the AERO Friedrichshafen (April 18 to 21, 2018). At the AERO 2018, the most important European trade fair for general aviation, Hall B5 will be opening as a helicopter hangar. The central stand will be occupied by the German Helicopter Association (DHV), which has been continuously represented at the AERO with numerous offers since 2014.
The range of helicopters includes trade fair stands and exhibits of its member companies from a wide array of sectors, ranging from air rescue to working flight. Furthermore, the DHV is offering interesting specialist contributions from practice and theory as well as discussions relating to the topic of shared airspace use by helicopters and drones. The German Helicopter Club has also confirmed its participation. The helicopters can land at the AERO directly on an outdoor landing field near Hall B5 and can be pushed into the hall through the large hangar gate. A Meet & Greet area cordially invites the rotorcraft scene to engage in networking with other representatives of the sector.
The E-Flight Expo will ensure another strong focus at the trade fair for general aviation, which will take place at the exhibition center in Friedrichshafen from April 18 to 21, 2018. The Flight Simulator Area will be celebrating its premiere at the fair. The areas of Avionics Avenue, Engine Area, Pilot Training, and Aerodrones/UAS Expo will once again provide a strong offer for professionals. In addition, rotorcraft get a strong boost. The AERO focuses on a wide variety of aircraft, with the pallet ranging from gliders to ultralight planes and from helicopters to business jets.
From unmanned civilian drones and ultralight, single- and multi-engine aircraft with piston engines to helicopters, gyrocopters, and turboprops through to multi-jet aircraft, everything is on display at the AERO 2018. Innovative propulsion systems, future-proof avionics, aviation services, and accessories are further focal points, along with offers for pilot training and information on further career opportunities in general aviation.
The great importance of business aviation will be on display again in 2018: single- and twin-engine aircraft with piston engines, turboprop singles and twins, and single-jet and multi-jet aircraft will be exhibited here. With the granting of approval by the European aviation authority EASA in March 2017 to permit turbine singles to be used for commercial air traffic now also in the instrument flight operation, manufacturers of these single-engine turboprops can be pleased about higher demand.
